Summary: Suit brought to recover the value of two slaves from the defendant. The plaintiff, Harriet Flannagan, sought to recover the slaves, which were her separate property under a marriage settlement. A judgment was made in favour of the plaintiffs and the defendant appealed. The Supreme Court concluded that the case was with the plaintiff and a rehearing was refused.
