Summary: The Public Service Commission of Canada (PSC) committed to conducting a study on employment equity (EE) in the public service with a special emphasis on persons with disabilities. This commitment is reflected in the PSC's 2011-2012 Annual Report. This undertaking falls under the PSC’s mandate as per the Public Service Employment Act and the Employment Equity Act. This study consists of an analysis of promotions of members of EE groups based on the public service workforce as of June 30, 2010, and on staffing activities concluding between July 1, 2010, and June 30, 2011.
